FIELD TECHNICIANS

Boyle Consulting Engineers is currently searching for experienced individuals to perform site observations of earthwork and foundation construction, collect samples and perform tests to monitor compliance of construction specifications. Construction Technicians act as quality assurance employees to document ACI and ASTM specifications. They also monitor concrete batching and testing procedures. A successful candidate must be detail oriented, have a solid work ethic, must be physically able to frequently travel to various job sites since the job tasks are site inspection and construction materials testing.
Applicants should have experience using hand augers, dynamic cone penetrometers, and scales.  2+ years experience as a Field Technician is preferred. NICET and/or ACI Certifications a plus. Applicants must have their own reliable vehicle for site to site travel. This position is currently a part time, hourly position as an independant contractor with potential for future permanant position.

GEOLOGIST/ENVIRONMENTAL PROJECT MANAGER

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, Project Management, Proposal Preparation, Field Work and Report Drafting.

Qualified candidates should meet all or most of the following position requirments:

  • A Bachelor of Science degree in Geology or related science.
  • Licensed in the state of North Carolina.
  • Experience (5+ years) managing and directing department projects.
  • Experience working with North Carolina regulations.
  • Remediation experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Power Point.
  • Ideal candidates must have a strong client base.

The ideal candidate will be able to work on multiple projects concurrently,perform duties with minimal oversight and direction, work well with others, strive to become a valuable team member, and constantly strive to stay productive and billable.

Approximately 25% travel time will be required within North Carolina.

In Addition, qualified candidates should have experience performing the following:

Phase I Environmental Site Assessments

Soil and groundwater assessments related to petroleum underground storage tanks and dry cleaning facilities.

Soil remediation/ land application and underground storage tank closure

Writing Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasures (SPCC) Plans
