Chuck Boyle, P.E.

Chuck is the Managing Principal and Owner of BOYLE.  Chuck graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 1983 and served in the U.S. Army Aviation Branch as a Combat Aerial Surveillance Officer, serving in the Republic of Korea and in the United States.  His civilian experience includes 25 years as a commercial pilot and 22 years of  engineering, environmental, construction materials, and geospatial technologies consulting. Chuck's passion is to help others  make wise decisions with their development, construction, or environmental projects.  Chuck is licensed to practice engineering in North Carolina and is also a Registered Site Manager (RSM) under North Carolina's Inactive Hazardous Waste Sites Voluntary Cleanup Program.  One of Chuck's current projects includes the implementation of GIS technologies for the US government in Afghanistan.

Michelle B. Richards, P.E.
Chief Engineer

Michelle is the Chief Engineer and Manager of BOYLE’s Geotechnical/Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Department.  She provides project management and technical support for all CMT and Special Inspections projects.  She also is responsible for the technical review of all engineering services.  Michelle has 21 years of experience in geotechnical investigations and evaluations, field testing, construction monitoring and construction oversight.  She is qualified to perform as the Special Inspector in almost every category defined in the International Building Code.  Michelle received her Bachelor of Science degree in Maritime Systems Engineering from Texas A&M University and her Masters of Civil Engineering from the University of Houston.  She is licensed to practice engineering in the states of Texas, North Carolina and South Carolina.  Michelle is professionally affiliated with the American Society of Civil Engineers, Post-Tensioning Institute and American Concrete Institute.


Brian Sain
Laboratory Manager

Brian is the Manager of BOYLE's Laboratory Services and also provides technical support and training to all BOYLE field operations personnel. He manages the quality assurance program for BOYLE and is responsible for BOYLE laboratory management reporting. Being very engaged in the testing of Cured-in-Place Pipe rehabilitation product from utility projects all over the nation, Brian has become  a leading expert in the testing of this material. Brian also has experience teaching science and music to middle school students, is adjunct faculty at Winston-Salem State University, and is an accomplished musician.  Brian earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Education and  a Bachelor of Music in Euphonium Performance from Appalachian State Univeristy.


Tracie Schoenwald
Accounts and Personnel Manager

Tracie Schoenwald is the Accounts and Personnel Manager for BOYLE.  Tracie oversees all accounting, human resources and office management functions for the company. Tracie has 17 years of Accounting/Bookkeeping & Administrative experience in a variety of industries including commercial development, staffing, retail, commercial and residential real estate.  Tracie has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Resource Management from the State University of New York at Oswego.
