Chuck Boyle, P.E. Managing Principal cboyle@boyleconsulting.com Chuck is the Managing Principal and Owner of BOYLE. Chuck graduated from West Point in 1983, served in the U.S. Army for 6 years as a reconnaissance pilot, and transitioned to civilian life in 1989. His civilian experience includes 20 years as a commercial pilot and 17 years of geotechnical engineering, environmental, and construction materials testing consulting. Chuck is licensed to practice engineering in North Carolina. Chuck is currently serving as a field representative for the West Point Admissions Board, is a member of the Rotary Club, is active in the Lincoln County Economic Development Association, and Denver United Methodist Church.

Shiping Yang, PhD., P.E. Chief Engineer syang@boyleconsulting.com
Shiping is the Chief Engineer at BOYLE. His expertise includes all aspects of Geotechnical Engineering and the construction materials sciences. Shiping is responsible for the technical review and overall quality control of these services, as well as, the QA/QC associated with the BOYLE laboratory. Shiping received his Bachelor of Science degree in Geotechnical Engineering from the Tsinghua University in Beijing, China, and his Ph.D. from Iowa State University. He has 15 years of experience as a graduate research assistant and a consultant. Shiping is licensed to practice engineering in the states of Iowa, North Carolina and South Carolina.

Michelle B. Richards, P.E. Senior Engineer mrichards@boyleconsulting.com Michelle is the Manager of BOYLE’s Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Department. She provides project management and technical support for all CMT and Special Inspections projects. She also is responsible for the technical review of these services. Michelle has 18 years of experience in geotechnical investigations and evaluations, field testing, construction monitoring and construction oversight. She is qualified to perform as the Special Inspector in almost every category defined in the International Building Code. Michelle received her Bachelor of Science degree in Maritime Systems Engineering from Texas A&M University and her Masters of Civil Engineering from the University of Houston. She is licensed to practice engineering in the states of Texas, North Carolina and South Carolina. Michelle is professionally affiliated with the American Society of Civil Engineers, Post-Tensioning Institute and American Concrete Institute.

Todd Spanish, P.G. Environmental Services Manager tspanish@boyleconsulting.com
Todd is BOYLE's Environmental Services Manager. Todd has experience in all aspects of performing Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments. This includes contamination assessment/ remediation, regulatory consultation and permitting. Todd is a registered Professional Geologist and earned his Bachelor of Arts in Earth Sciences from Dartmouth College in Hanover, NH .

Brian Sain Laboratory Manager bsain@boyleconsulting.com Brian is the Manager of BOYLE's Laboratory Services, he also provides technical support and training to all BOYLE field operations personnel. Brian oversees all BOYLE Laboratory testing to ensure that all procedures follow ASTM guidelines. He manages the quality assurance program for BOYLE and is responsible for BOYLE laboratory management reporting. Brian has experience teaching science and music to middle school students. He is also adjunct faculty at Winston-Salem State University and is an accomplished musician. He has earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Education and also a Bachelor of Music in Euphonium Performance from Appalachian State Univeristy.

Tracie Schoenwald Accounts and Personnel Manager tschoenwald@boyleconsulting.com Tracie Schoenwald is the Accounts and Personnel Manager for BOYLE. Tracie oversees all accounting, human resources and office management functions for the company. Tracie has 17 years of Accounting/Bookkeeping & Administrative experience in a variety of industries including commercial development, staffing, retail, commercial and residential real estate. Tracie has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Resource Management from the State University of New York at Oswego.
