Aerial Photography
BOYLE owns and operates a Cessna Centurion (C-210) fixed-wing aircraft specially modified and equipped to support oblique (“at an angle”) and vertical (“straight down”) digital photography using advanced Single Lens Reflex (SLR) techniques (Canon 5D). Professional grade optics (“Canon L Series”), flight planning software, and a GPS locating device combine to allow quick targeting of the sites for efficient, well-planned, and precise high-resolution image collection. Use of the Centurion allows rapid and economic mobilization to sites within 300 Nautical Miles of Charlotte, NC. For sites requiring the use of other platforms, BOYLE uses a Robinson R-22 helicopter.
Oblique
Oblique photography offers an appealing view that is easy to understand, allows identification of structural and topographic relief, and is easy and cost effective to acquire. It is used to showcase commercial, residential, industrial, and transportation buildings and infrastructure.

Vertical
Vertical photography offers a number of important benefits that cannot be achieved with oblique photography. It is well suited for engineering analysis, and is more cost effective than traditional mapping photography. Vertical photographs simplify identification of site characteristics, enable approximate determination of ground scale, and can be used in conjunction with other mapping and CAD information.
